993turbo 0
In ETKA I found 3 different lambda sensors for the Golf VR6. 021 906 265 (for cars withou cat)021 906 265 A (for OBD 1 cars, with a cat) 021 906 265 AK (for OBD 2 cars)Does anyone know the difference between the 3 sensors...? I have found that the later AK unit have a different plug than the two others.. Any other differences? Cheers
cragus 0
I bought one from GSF the other day for my '94 obd1 and it turned out the plug was the latter rounded one when it should have been the square type. They even put my reg in the computer to match the part so god knows mate just thought i'd stick ma beak in

MaidenVR6 26
Find out what model your car is. Or go to a VW dealr, give them your registration number, and they will find out what you need.
993turbo 0
hehe, I know very well what model my car is. And I know very well what car the different sensors belong to. What I am asking is if anyone knows what the difference between the sensors are....................................
Rikki 2
Apparently they are different not only the plug type. Square or ovalish. Cant remember the reason but are different!
993turbo 0
yeah... The reason Im asking is that one of my VR's, a 93 OBD 1, with cat had the Lambda sensor without Letter. The car was running perfect. The other 93' Vr, had the ''A'' lambda (which is the correct one) And I have a NEW VW, AK lamda laying on the shelf, so I wonder if it would work, if I changed the plug, or if it would be a drama.... faigolfgti 0
I beleive the without CAT lamda sensor (021-906-265) will gain some performance for the vr6 because the emission control from the non cat lamda sensor is not so tight no CAT to taken care of.(hope i am right)
993turbo 0
Hmmmmmm, I have my doubts. The lambda sensor only gives a voltage feedback to the ECU. Lean - OK - Rich. So any performance gains would be in the ECu's interpretation of the signal.........
