b19drg 0
Is there any problems with not running an aux water pump ??
VR6Pete 1,455
It's a bit of an odd question that? Why would you not want to run it? It funtion is to circulate water around after the ignition has been switched off and during running...in my opinion, it's there for a reason...

Thanks again everyone !
Rikki 2
Just trim the middle runner off the pump....the end clips will hold it on anyway!
993turbo 0
Im running without on both VR's. No issues.
Rikki 2
Its the long term effects....its there for a reason to cool the engine down after you switch off!
xyber 1
My new one fitted perfectly, no plug problems. Possibly the wrong oneIt's held on by a rubber hoop bracket that it just pushes into. And yes you need it, it cools the engine uniformly and stops it warping or even cracking over time
b19drg 0
Have trimmed of the plastic on the pump and it still don't fit properly ! But it just needs a bit of playing around with and it will be all good ! This was the only part they listed at gsf and euro carparts was the same so I'm sure it's right , it does look right yeah as I have never had one ?? And I dint have the rubber bit that holds it , so if any one has a pic so I can see how it is supposed to look , thanks
xyber 1
Yeah pump looks right from what I remember, just a different electrical connector, but mine was from TPS
Gazbarber1982 3
That pump is shite! I got one for my other VR about 6 months ago. Pain in the arse to fit because of the connector, noisy after 3 months and packed in. I got a new bosch one using the bosch part no. for £70. Can't even here it running now!
