JustDubItVR6 0 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Share Posted June 16, 2010 Hello there my sharan dont want to start,ive been away for a couple of weeks and forgot to disconect my battery,so i got back yesterday and tryed to start and it was dead,so i tryed to jumpstart with my other car but still was dead.i gave the battery a full charge and tryed to start and now its makeing a clicking noies when i try to start and still wont start.has any one had any problems like this before? ashmk3 0 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Share Posted June 16, 2010 Good call I remember when my gti wouldn't start and gave it a tap( a hefty whack tbh) and it fired up. Although afte lr I did the clutch it wouldn't start and I got the 'click' noise like you say which was down to water/ condesation or damp on electrial contacts and a rusty gearbox ground. Replced ground connector and squirted the whole bay with wd40 and it worked. Did the trick for me anyways. Hope this is of some help. Link to post Share on other sites
