ashmk3 0
Recently I have been having issues related to cooling.the other day I mentioned oil in my water but this was due to my mum using my bucket for something else grrr. Anyway the past few weeks my aux water pump makes a strange sound like it's letting off pressure like squeal. And my radiator hose gets rock solid when upto temp. I have changed the thermostat changed the coolant changed the oil no signs of a head gasket like no Mayo under filler cap etc. I poured water into the rad when it was off the car and no leaks there. So what's the problem has the aux water pump had it and causing a blockage and restricting water? The main water pump seams fine. Can anyone tell me If I squeeze the coolant pipes attached to the throttle body I can compress the one closest the bulk head but not the one nearest the front could this also be the problem ? All help really considered. I just want the vr up and running again.
legvw 0
Could be the cap on the expansion tank, not letting off excess pressure.

Gazbarber1982 3
The aux. water pumps do squeal once they're worn. do a bit of research online and get the bosch part number for one. It's cheaper than ordering a vw part number from the likes of euro because you get a copy that doesn't actually fit! My bosch one was £70 and the copies are about £
