spinners 0
Hello to all, I have just got hold of a 97 vr6 and i have two small problems. The first is that there is a horrible knock from the passangers rear when it hits a small bump, when it goes bang it also unsettles the car.The second is when you open the bonet there is a differance in the gap between the strut and the top mount of the suspension leg.Any advise would be great and I know im a newbie and people think you come on a forum just for problems, but i will return the favour on things I know.Cheers Dave
dman78 1
i asked the same question and i was told the fronts are normal as they aint connected to the body,as for the rear it could be rear beam bushes etc etc,

Tel 0
As above mate. I've had what sounds like both the same problems in the past. With the rear beam bushes, go aftermarket. A million times easier to fit and last forever. As far as the front top mounts are concerned, easy as anything to change and cheap as chips

spinners 0
I have had a poke around on the back and it seems the n/s/r shock has leaked all of its oil, the rear axle bushes have very little play.
