GraLaw 0
Hello all, been a while. Got a problem with driver's side front suspension on my TDi. I noticed the car not handling properly mainly on left bends. I've had a good look under the bonnet and the top mount on the drivers side is too low and can be moved and twisted by hand. I've spoken to a few people and they say the rubber has probably gone. I've had a look around for prices but I don't know which one I need.http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Golf_1.9_1997/p/Car-Parts/Suspension-and-Steering/Suspension/Suspension-Mountings Which bit do I need?? Also, do I need a spring compressor? And what tool could I use to get on the nut? I've seen someone in the premium members thread took a grinder to a socket but I don't want to do that. Got this car so I could spend time on the VR but it's been just as much trouble. Damn golfs will be the death of me.
