craggsy 91
Found it.... £700 is the cost to upgrade from stage 1 to stage 2.Stage 1 costs £2500......then add £700 to get to stage 2£3200 for 280bhp is shocking
bungy 2
It's £2500 for the charger and ancilliaries (280bhp) with the additional £700 for the intercooler and taking it closer to 300bhp

bungy 2
Turbo can be alot more depending on specification.
ibiza vr6 0
seen one for 700 for full kit may be not the best but cheat to start dont get me wrong its fast as it is but a bit more wont hurt lol
craggsy 91
problem with doing things cheap is 9/10 times you will have to do it all over again
bungy 2
And damage something along the way.
ibiza vr6 0
yea depends on how u driv if your heavy right footed all the time then it wont last i want it for 1/4 mile runs and i lttle fun £700 is cheap and can soon upgrade turbo
craggsy 91
which kit? the ones on ebay?If so let us know how they are and how you get on with it, so we can know all about them
ibiza vr6 0
why have i heard u can pull 400 bhp before damage and iv upgraded head gasket and done chains and tenstioners im in trade and a few mates that do stuff like this and say it would be fine as long as u dont try and put to much through ?
ibiza vr6 0
will do mate it mite be pants lol but worth a go for that coin
spadam 7
its not the engine that the problem its the parts you are buying very cheap etc. Turbo could break causing fragments of it to be sucked into your engine and writting it off. But by all means give it a go and let us all now how you get on.
ibiza vr6 0
will do iv read a bit about them dont seem the worst going if nothing ill get the kit so only need a good turbo
Ben Seabrook 4
and if its the USA kits then a different manifold - i.e the two most important and expensive bits !! basically £700 for some piperwork and in intercooler
spadam 7
Yea go for it. You could allways follow jim potters guide he turbo'd his car for under £1000 and he now runs nearly 400bhp. If you are going to fit a turbo make sure you fit a head spacer and new headgasket to lower compresion ratio otherwise it wont last 2mins.
craggsy 91
can use manifold just need to be a bit creative with the brake fluid bottle etc....see Kevs thread as he did it
