How's this for rare?

As far as I know, the UK RHD Mk2 Syncro was a non-performance model, with a 1.8 carb'd engine, although I imagine that swapping in a GTI 8v or 16v engine is pretty straightforward due to the common engine block.

I don't know about a VR6 conversion on one of these, though. Every 4x4 VR6 I've ever heard about (the factory Mk3 VR6 Syncro aside) uses the stronger running gear from the Rallye G60. I assume that this is for a reason....

I'd say it's had either the syncro conversion done on the 16v or a 16v lump put in a syncro car, Because they never made a 16v syncro, except the G60 16v motor sport version, but these are so rare bet theres only a few in the country and there all LHD. I remember the last one that i saw for sale over here went for £10K
