VRVIRGIN 0
LHD maybe? I know they did a 4x4 style jobbie with the spare strapped to the tailgate.
mk3anni 0
Not that rare.VRVIRGIN, the one your thinking of is the golf country. They did a normal golf syncro in 8v, 16v and G60.

acf8181 0
i thought they only did the mkII syncro with a 1.8 carb engine?
badboyV6 4
Wasnt aware they ever did a 16V N/A Synchro... I know there was the country, rallye, 8V synchro, and...G60 Limited (lovely!!!) 16V motor mated to a supercharger- 207 BHP standard- very very are
antera309 3
As far as I know, the UK RHD Mk2 Syncro was a non-performance model, with a 1.8 carb'd engine, although I imagine that swapping in a GTI 8v or 16v engine is pretty straightforward due to the common engine block.I don't know about a VR6 conversion on one of these, though. Every 4x4 VR6 I've ever heard about (the factory Mk3 VR6 Syncro aside) uses the stronger running gear from the Rallye G60. I assume that this is for a reason....[ Edited Sun Jan 16 2005, 05:04PM ]
MK2R32 0
I'd say it's had either the syncro conversion done on the 16v or a 16v lump put in a syncro car, Because they never made a 16v syncro, except the G60 16v motor sport version, but these are so rare bet theres only a few in the country and there all LHD. I remember the last one that i saw for sale over here went for £10K
