morette wiring help please

Just fitted some morettes today and wired them up, work fine thru sidelights and main beam but the inner lamp units dont work on either or full beam, what are the inner lamps used for or does anybody have a wiring diagram?

there usually main beam if i remember right :S

Hmmm im puzzled, my outer units seem to be sidelight, main and full beam,

i must have wired something up wrong just looking for the correct colour wiring order from somewhere

did yours come with the relay setup? mine had a relay kit that only connected to the nearside side for signal and the battery for power

yes thats the one, i was unsure how it was all wired up

i cant remember how it was wired up cos i removed them and replaced them with hella quads, but i think it was all straightforaward, there wasnt an over complicated method i think it just all connected up, have you checked your high beam relay? the way morrettes work is they are all H4 bulbs and both the inner and outer lights go on high beam when you select high

yes they look the same but mine doesnt have the block connector that connects to the car as mine has different fittings , will try post a pic later :^)

yours is OBD1 isnt it? it would have different light connectors

Yeah, i think these were taken from a 1992 vr, so had flat four connector instead of the round type.

I just pluged the pins into my newer round connector and put loads of black tape around it.

yes thats the one, obd 1 with the flat four connector so just pushed the pins in my connector just need to find the correct colour order of the wires as iv tried several and taped them up

Maybe ask jim, he answered a few question i had about the morettes.

Or you could go on the morette site and get the number, giv them a ring and ask what order the wires plug into on the old connectors.

get a multimeter on them and see which wires power up when you switch the various lights on, then following back from the bulbs feed each wire to the corresponding connector
