bungy 2
Is it using oil and have you checked the levels in the 6 weeks of ownership?

craggsy 91
On acceleration if its only a small puff then its likely that a bit of oil is getting by the stem seals
Ben Seabrook 4
when blue would be oil and if its only when accelerating then maybe something like valve stem seals ? what mileage is the engine on
carl7777 0
milage is 145,000,if its the stem seals i could live with that for a while especially if it doesnt happen everytime i accelerate
bungy 2
Worth checking your plugs for fouling and if you start seeing a more frequent loss of oil then get a compression test done.
carl7777 0
im going to install a new set on saturday and carefully monitor them and oil consumption
VeedubVR 0
If it smokes on over run is it like to be problems with the head? Such as valve stem seals?
carl7777 0
would that cause it to blow smoke occasionaly ?
Gazbarber1982 3
90% chance it's stem seals. I was advised to go for OEM seals as euro or GSF are no good. Cost quite a bit more from VW or TPS but premium membership saved me 40% on mine 3 months ago.
