mawrick 0
I have a 95 Corrado VR6 which have a bit starting issue. It starts every time, but quite some times one ends up having to crank it for quite some time before it fires. Also sometimes it comes fuel smell (especially after starts where the engine is cold, the smell goes away after a little time). So far I'v changed the fuel filter, ignition switch, the FPR have been tried out with another FPR and seem to be much the same. Also plugs are new.Any other ideas what might cause these issues - nothing shows up in VAG-COM and the car runs alright once started. The engine is a coilpack version. xyber 1
MAF, lambda, blue temp sensor. All 3 can sometimes be dodgy and not show a code. MAF and temp sensor are the main culprits
mawrick 0
ok, I'l try to clean that old MAF maybe - see if it helps blue temp sensor have also been replaced recently.....maybe I should put back the old to see if it's something with that.Could these things make it flood the engine - so that it will smell fuel when it's starting ? craggsy 91
How old is the battery?
mawrick 0
not sure how old the battery is - but it measures good when I tested earlier - and the car cranks alright. If that still might be a problem I sure can try the battery I have sitting in my Passat VR6.
