Expecting a delivery today with the final bits required to finish this project off, fingers crossed.

Insurance is done with Adrian Flux, £200 increase ouch

Took a trip to local DVLA Exeter yesterday to register new engine on log book and get some Tax beacause its been SORN

12 months £205, 6 months £112.75 :-) very pleased with that

I was asked for a mechanics report but luckily I had a posh receipt from the guy i bought the engine off, they took a copy and accepted that.

Parts arrived at 5:30pm so got f*%k all done again, took a few pics to de-stress

On the Mk5 R32 the Auxilary Water Pump is normally mounted at the front taking a feed from a core plug in the block. The original needs to be removed and replaced with a blank core plug.

Mk5 R32 Auxiliary Water Pump repositioned so that i can reuse my hoses. To do this i modified the Mk5 bracket.

This is what lies beneath the false floor, Mk3 battery tray severly butchered and securely bolted down, it ain't going any where. Note the BIG power cable, BMW E36 it's quality. If i every get this beauty on the road the battery will be replaced with an Optima Yellow Top.

BMW E36 Engine post, custom mounted to chassis leg.

Power steering reservoir custom mounted to chassis leg.

Mk3 ECU bracket modified to take Mk4 ECU.

Mk3 VR6 Engine Mount, modified and welded up to fit around the R32 Oil Cooler

IMG_2239.jpg

R32 Pedals, pic doesn't do them justice they are quality items

IMG_2248.jpg

SAI blank, there is loads of stuff for the Secondary Air Pump that can be removed and replaced with this little blanking plate

I've refurbed the gear shift with a new driver and relay, recommend this to everybody, seems to be much smoother whilst sat in the garage dreaming about getting out onto the road.

IMG_2247.jpg

Oil Filter housing, i had the boss drilled and tapped M10x1.0 to take the Mk3 VR6 Oil Temp Sender (shown back right) required for Oil Temp on Mk3 Clocks. Hope it seals as it ain't very thick in that area, not recommended and definiteley don't try this at home. Mk3 VR6 Oil Pressure Sensor mounted at the front, just take out the blanking plug
