VR6_Absy 0 Posted August 31, 2010 Report Share Posted August 31, 2010 Had a few smokin issues recently which is down to worn bores, solution was to rebore to 2.9 with new rings and pistons. Had a little think about it for a few days and decided to go the R32 conversion route and managed to get hold of this beauty ........2007 Mk5 R32 engine with 17,000 milesThis may turn into a build thread but i won't be starting until November at the earliest.Gonna be a shame to get rid of the shiney bits but the thought of a 3.2 lump swayed it:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Link to post Share on other sites

UnitedMotorsport 55 Posted August 31, 2010 Report Share Posted August 31, 2010 If that engine is from a MK5 Golf it is NOT FSI.FSI is on the newer Passat 3.2/6.You will need a MK4 R32 or 4Motion alternator etc bracket, so that you can fit PAS. Link to post Share on other sites
