VR6 ECU ISSUES

Hi - i am having real problems with my VR6 ECU.. Ill try to keep this simple.

I have just converted my 93 vr6 from OBD1 to an ODB2 engine as the engine was Knackered.

During the conversion we realised the wiring loom from the OBD2 was not going to work as the connectors were different so I have now installed the OBD2 enfine with the OBD1 wiring loom.....Now the headache...... The ECU from the OBD2 didnt work as there was no where to plug the chip key and transponder in so have had to keep the original ECU (OBD1)..... car runs ok (ish) so really need an OBD2 ecu that i can just plug straight in, that works with out NO chip key/ transponder immobiliser......... IS there such a thing, can this be done........Please help as this is driving me MAD

c2 motorsports did my obd 2 ecu, they re-flashed it so it dont look for the immobilizer, it was 100quid and a two day turnaround, then i just pluged it in and i worked fine :-)

wicked - thanks mate (thank god it can be done)- think i still got the obd1 loom in there, will the obd2 ecu run fine just plugged in once its been immobilised?

im not sure how different the looms are but c2 will just remove the immobilizer so you dont need the chip or decoder box, so the only difference in the ecu is it wont go looking for the right code of the key, it will just start and run regardles if you had the key or a screw driver :-p

An OBD2 ECU will NOT run with an OBD1 wiring loom.

It doesnt matter if we remove the immobilizer from your OBD2 ECU, plugging it in to an OBD1 Loom wont work.

If an OBD2 engine has been fitted to your OBD1 car, and been fitted correctly, there should be NO running issues.

the car is running fine with the OBD1 ecu, am just worried its the calm before the storm
