Welding to be done later today and refitted with new clip etc.Luckily I was only a few miles from home and not on a motorway etc. Link to post Share on other sites
Happy harry 0 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Share Posted September 3, 2010 this happened to me few weeks ago! pain in the ass! i bought a new pedal from vw for £25 and it had the same crappy spot welds.let me know how you get on refitting it as i had alot of trouble getting the white nylon "washers/spacers" back on, was very tight!to re-fit the spring i compressed it in a vice then cable tied the spring so it stayed compressed fitted it in position then cut the cable ties.
