I have had my 1994 vr6 now for a month am am looking to start moding a bit, im thinking of putting a 2.9 inlet and throttle body on from a corrado, induction kit, stainless exhaust system +decat pipe, and lowering it by 40 mm, can anyone tell me if the thottle body and manifold will make much of a difference and will i have to remap the ecu. Any other ideas welcomed

Hi Mate. I have a 2.9 throttle boddy and manifold to go on mine in the next couple of weeks, I will let you know if it makes any odds. I have a bored out and polished obd throttle body on a standard manifold and the moment and that opened up the top of the rev range a bit.

cheers bud, would be interested to know how you get on, as far as i know they are a straight swap over, that why im looking at it

dont expect massive gains. i have a rado mani fitted. if yours is an obd1 coil pack vr it uses the same 70mm throttle body as a rado so no point changing that. its only the manifold thats different.

rado mani, decent filter and a cat back will make the car more responsive but unlike other vehicle's vr's are hard to get power from.
