17s what do they feel like to drive

Recommended Posts

When i put a set of 15's on the car next to 17's they were the same sixe and assume rolling diameter was the same

Ran 16's on my old vr and 17's on this one cannot tell the diffrence

If as you increase wheel size you reduce tyre profile then yes the rolling radius should be the same, and the speedo will read correctlyish. It's when people mess with profiles that problems occur.

On the increasing alloy topic, surely a larger alloy wheel with a smaller tyre would weigh less than a smaller alloy with a larger tyre, as tyres weigh a ton!!!!

You just confirmed that a larger alloy and tyre is lighter than a smaller alloy and tyre.

I'd guess cheep crappy wheels would be heavier as they aren't designed as well, and would be using cheaper ingredients in the mix so would need more for the equivalent strength of a more expensive wheel, hence increased weight.... right/wrong??
