stevietots1 0 Posted January 22, 2005 Report Share Posted January 22, 2005 ok i picked up my vr this morning and drove it all the way back from kings lynn with no problem, took it into town to get some tax put on it, still no sign of any problems. Then! i come back to the car go to start it up and it starts up fine but as soon as i lift off the accelerator the revs drop, battery light comes on and it died on me 2 or 3 times. i presumed it was a problem with the choke so i started it up and kept the revs up for about 30 secs and lifted off and it sat idling but at about 1100 rpm and did so all the way home. plz help any1 got an idea what this can be? :@ Link to post Share on other sites
mightyvr6 0 Posted January 22, 2005 Report Share Posted January 22, 2005 Sounds like a sticky idle stabiliser valve, a common vr problem. Remove it, give it a clean with carb cleaner, then a light oiling with 3 in 1 then it should be ok. Link to post Share on other sites
