craig46 0 Posted October 8, 2010 Report Share Posted October 8, 2010 In motorsport small amounts of tyre stretch can fundamentally change the dynamics of the tyre properties, it can alter the slip angle due to the sidewall being in a greater amount of tension, and in the hands of a very sound driver this can be manipulated to better control the car, in the hands of a lesser prepared driver can result in very unstable cornering.Cant say i'm a great fan of it on the road but i can see where people come from!
