Dmoe 0 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 Hey was on a drive the other day and for some reason i couldn't change gear at all managed to get it into 2nd and luckly i was close to home got home switched car off and changed gear fine when engine was off restarted car and it was changing gears fine again, thought it might be an idea to check oil levels on the box has anyone got a diagram/step by step guide to do this.... p0u1 14 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 sounds like your clutch isnt opening, be a problem with the master or slave cillinder, check the brake fluid level and blead your clutch then try it out, must of been fun sitting in a vr6 in secound gear the whole way home lol Link to post Share on other sites

Dmoe 0 Posted October 13, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 Yeh i booted it quickly out of a junction... the clutch was fine because it felt ok and i can hear a slight rattle when its out but when u press it the noise goes which is how its allways been.. and i didnt even need to let it cool soon as i got home my old man tried it out after switching car off and it was fine for him. going to top up the gear box oil just incase... Dmoe 0 Posted October 13, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 Yeh i think the gears are all sorted now been on a long drive today and not a problem.... just for some reason got the most anoying grinding noise spoke to a mechanic and he said its the barings on the belts and it wasnt a problem just the noise wont go... anyone got solution to this?
