garrett281083 0 Posted October 15, 2010 Report Share Posted October 15, 2010 hi i recently decated my mark 2 golf vr6 and used the original lamb sensor to put back into the pipe. car has been runing groggy and spluttering in high revs. took it to ds motorsport and they said i need a proper decat lamb sensor. is this correct as im having it fitted monday. cheers . garrett281083 0 Posted October 16, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 16, 2010 iv been qouted 165 to replace is my lambda, but i dnt even no if its broke and i dnt get why i would need a diff 1. iv been told by a few people it should be fine with the standard 1. but maybe my mechanic broke mine when he decatted it. cus thats when i started getting hassle. faigolfgti 0 Posted February 14, 2011 Report Share Posted February 14, 2011 I refer to ETKA there is two type of lamda sensor for vr6 engine,one lamda sensor is for vr6 without CAT(part no-330-906-265) another lamda sensor is for vr6 with cat that is what in our vr6.And i beleive the non cat lamda sensor will produce better performance for vr6 because it should tune richer without worry about damage to the CAT .
