p0u1 14
hi people, i have my MOT due at the end of this month, im not to worried about the car going through its mot as its a safe car, but the engine was swaped in this year, i never got round to sending my v5 documents off to have the updated form saying i have a 2.8 in there, can i just take it to the mot center and get them to test it or do i need that v5 document to be updated first?i have to insure my car on the 28th to so i want to get it sorted as soon as posible. p0u1 14
well im sending the documents off today so hopefully the mot center can accept that for a resone why its listed as a 1.6 and not a 2.8, will they tested it though?

VR6Nat 9
yeah but when they open the bonnet to check washer fluid level etc, the whackin great block in there will be a hint it aint a GTi to any mechanic... they surely cant then pass it as a GTi knowing that its a vr6?! craggsy 91
Emissions will be based on the gti I beleive so will prob fail on that. They only take your chassis number down for mot. Never swapped an engine so not 100% sure so I may be talking bullocks.Best of asking the mot man really
