badboyV6 4
I was told by a local VW/Audi garage who race VR6's that fitting a mk4 V6 Golf inlet manifold and throttlebody would increase torque and power. Anyone else heard this or tried this?
MarkGolf 6
Not sure...I was thinking the other day about the U.S MK4 12V VR6, the inlet looks totally different, i wonder if that would fit???
VRmonster 1
it does fit but i believe the mk4 12v has a drive by wire, whereas the mk 3 is a cable. so the throttle would need altering. also i believe it may give more power as i think they are the variable manifolds, similar to a schrick. not sure on that one though, i just remember reading somewhere about them. mightyvr6 0
The thottle body also faces the other side so the airbox is on the righthand side.

binliner 0
thats what badboyVR6 is talking about
badboyV6 4
if it was a yes (ans was an easy fit) which sounds unlikely i wouldve put a decent bid in on - inlet manifold and throttle body for 3.0 4motion just went for 7 quid!!!
