bungy 2 Posted October 28, 2010 Report Share Posted October 28, 2010 Sounds like either a flat battery, bad earth or more likely to be a jammed starter motor. Give the starter motor a few sympathetic taps whilst starting if a fresh battery don't help. Link to post Share on other sites

thegoth 5 Posted October 28, 2010 Report Share Posted October 28, 2010 Nope i don't that's going to make diagnosis a bit difficult. As a start I'd suggest making sure the battery terminals / connectors are nice and clean and free from corrosion. Do the same with the thinner brown wires which attach to the negative connector and the reds on the positive.2ndly disconnect the solenoid wire ( thin red ) from the starter motor and see if the dash still resets whilst trying to start. thegoth 5 Posted October 28, 2010 Report Share Posted October 28, 2010 starter is near the bottom of the engine between the block and rad. Will have one monster cable bolted to the end of it and another thinner wire which wends it's way back to the ignition switch. Link to post Share on other sites
