garrett281083 0 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Share Posted October 31, 2010 hi guys iv recently had my mk 2 plugged into vag and its says theres a connection but wont connect. its been done by a mapping pro and hes stumped. he says the only thing it could be is that its already been mapped and blocked by whoever mapped it. any ideas as id luv to no whats causing my bad idling at juntions etc when i dip that clutch. its drivin me crazy. When my mate took his s3 to be remapped, it had been mapped with a revo trial thing that fucked about with the ecu. You could read settings on vagcom and clear codes but it wouldn't remap. Ended up buying a passat 1.8t ecu and having his immobiliser chip fitted into it!! Link to post Share on other sites

I had this problem the port was getting power but wasn't connect via the k line so it couldn't read the ecu. Also have you got a aftermarket radio? Sometimes they mess with the vag com port.
