Coilover advice?

Hi all,

I am about to put some D90's on the girl and am looking at some coilovers for £300.

I've been looking at AP but they are well out of my budget. So FK AK Coilovers look ok? Does anyone have a recommendation or experience with these?

i have only heard that the FKs have a tendancy to leak or seize up after a couple of years...

i have mates running the £180 ebay specials and have had no problems with them at all.

Im running FK AK's there 16 months old and one is leaking , not the best in my opinion they are very hard also.

Get the best you can. I've ran koni coilies on vr for 5 yrs and no probs at all.

Will be getting kw v2s on the R32

Thanks all, I will leave the FK's and save the money and will keep using my Weitec Ultra GT until I can afford to buy some AP Coilovers.

I got a 60mm lowering kit if you are interested? Its made by Venom Motorsport but looks like Spax rebranded. 6 months old and have the receipt?

AP is owned by G-Werks and I also heard its rebranded KW!

I had £350 koni's on my VR which lasted for just over 2 years.

Put KW variant 2's on after that after having many recommendations about them. Ran on them for 6 years. Did thousands of miles and over 200 laps of the ring. They never gave me a problem. Took them off 3 months ago when I sold them to my mate and they cleaned up amazingly well. You get what you pay for with coilovers.

I will defo go for the AP's. I think I will sack the ECU upgrade for now and put money into AP's.

ive had AP coilovers on for a year now not a single problem with them, adjusted them last week after oh about 8 months and the collars turned first time with no effort. They have real good ride quality too.
