bungy ive still got a pedal like a slightly firm pillow but just havent had a chance to redleed them yet although the bite at the botom is improving. I dont do much braking so im having to force myself to brake more often to get them fully bedded in. Took trips to a couple vw meets in the evenings just to get more miles on them but im hoping to get them bled again early next week to see if there is more air or its just taking a while to bed them in

easy fix ;) extra bonus bein autostradas come with factory stainless bolts :) nuts are 10mm single hex so ill give them a quick polish and get them zinc plated before rebuilding them or just fit some new double hex nuts when I rebuild. Almost definately going to become occasional use wheels as I can swap the speedline tyres onto these when needed

When you bled your brakes were you using a forced bleeding system or a vacuum system? The vacuum systems draw the air through the fluid easier than the pressure ones and may be worth a go.

Im from falkirk. The FK1 is my post code ;) I bought the car from a guy in Inverness

so....spent yesterday at my mates bit swapping his coils for my FK's and ended up with my shaft popping out the cv so spent today fixing that and freeing off the coils. The rears turned into a nightmare but the fronts were sound

currently about 16 coils down at the front(around 35mm)and 20mm lower at the rear

bump from the almost death......still own this, still fixing it and almost always managing to daily it. Went through a spel where everything I fixed two more issues popped up. Currently nursing it about with a head gasket on the way out, bushes that are shot to hell that recent work finished off, fuel leaks(rubber bay hoses are weeping),oil leaks(sump/rocker),power steering leaks(untraceable so far)and probably some other stuff ive forgotten about.

Picking up a parts car soon and hopefully next week will sort the majority off the suspension bushes and hopefully the engine mounts will be renewed the same time as the subframe goes on
