Lukey. 381 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 I got round to maintaining my fuel filler nozzle today as it had a little rust on it, i then realised that you can take the whole rubber seal out and thusly did to give me more room to work, i found about 2 bags of sugar worth of soil crammed in tight behind it, the nozzle and area it occupies is not sealed away from the wheel arch so any sh!te that made its way up there obviously stayed, i cleaned it out and sorted the nozzle out, all is good on mine anyway.But just thought it might be a useful thing to say to everyone to take a look and see whats going on, cos it looks like a right crap trap, and we all know what happens to the sills and arches on our mk3s when wet muck is left behind the skirts and arch trims over time.
