For the price of getting such work done by an engineering unit it may be worth buying a 2nd hand hub. We sell them on the golf for £30 + delivery so surely someone may have one for similar money.

cost me a fiver to get mine done through a friend of a friend... but probably easier to get a new one to be honest :)

Forgive me if I'm wrong but doesn't the bolt go through the caliper carrier into the hub at the back? I think the bolt that has sheared is the larger 2 holding the carrier to the hub not the slider bolts? But I could be mistaken.

Hi, dont know much about these things so yes I shouldnt have touched it :( Anyway, its the small bolt, 13mm I think that goes in to the hole with the little rubber gromit. There is no bolt visable, so I have ordered a set of broken bolt extractors to see if they get it out. If not, looks like a new part :(

If you drill a 5.2/3 mm hole down the centre of the snapped bole

then run a m6 left hand tap down the hole you just drilled

find a m6 bolt and screw into place,

as the bolt tightens you should be able to loosen the broken one

Just an update, got the bolt out and got a replacement. Got a new problem now though, I have put everything back together to which I believe is the right order but when I took the caliper off the pads fell out so not 100% sure. Can anyone point me in the right direction of some pics or a how 2?
