Caddyslammed 16
Right, after a lot of thought i have decided that the engine rebuild i am currently doing is going to be for an N/A build, was going to supercharge but for many reasons, one being time, i have decided to make this new engine pokey and clean the bay up in the car, call this phase 1 if you like .Hope you lot don't think less of me lol, but i feel this is the correct way for me at the moment, and maybe for my car, i will aim for power over 210BHP, so it won't be a half hearted attempt, my mates 3 door mystic blue golf made 240BHP N/A which is serious N/A power as you all well know, so i have a good advisor, and yes i know its not going to be cheap!, turbo is the most cost efficient way of gaining power, but thats not why i'm doing it!.Any thoughts very welcome Cheers

p0u1 14
have you had a look at a r32 engine as they produce the power your looking for and you could pick up one for the same sort of price of a na vr6 build

Caddyslammed 16
Getting crank, new pistons, rods etc checked tomorrow, and then its all going to a local firm to be cleaned, and block bored.I will order some cams next week, bearings, and all gaskets/seals hopefully .So, it will be a 2.9, and just N/A, so 3" custom exhaust will be made up, BMC CDA, cams etc.Think i may stick with Golf inlet for now, will get it painted. Will look for a nice exhaust manifold.Don't think lightened flywheel will help my cause here. gary.scales 0
Was reading yesterday on here, someone was selling lightened and resized crank, alternator and water pump pulleys, saw on the website that it gives an extra 5BHP at the wheels for about £200 new. Thought I'd let you know
