bungy 2
Very frustrating this evening after the bank holiday yesterday my last couple of bits were ordered today and should be here tomorrow. I can't progress until they are here.
bungy 2
Loads of little bits done this evening with the front end back on and bolted up, aux belt and tensioner on and a new "O" seal for the thermostat housing which looked past its best. I'm in the process of making a blank for part of the SAI and then it'll be time to top up the coolant and start.

bungy 2
All back together now with the exception of the sound tray which I left off to check for leaks which after a run I haven't found any yet....My aux belt tensioner is "singing" a little and I'll be giving that a bit of a greasing. But most importantly, she's a runner!!![youtube=]o-28P46lmws

bungy 2
Good job mate! Was that Katie congratulating you in the background? It was mate and quite funny. She insisted on being there when I started it.

bungy 2
Checked everything over again today and then took it out for a test drive. Starts and drives fine and with the lowered compression there is the hint of a loss of the "cripness" but it pulls strong and runs well.
legvw 0
Good news then mate! Pleased it drives ok, you just need that charger now...
bungy 2
Good news then mate! Pleased it drives ok' date=' you just need that charger now... [/quote']Next on the list is a Bosch 044 pump and to start the pipework in 316 stainless.

bungy 2
I've been looking at OEM cruise control and think that may be one of my next minor projects.
legvw 0
So hows it running mate?Cruise control is a good idea, if you feel like being lazy on the way to the pod!!
bungy 2
Runs well with no problems, it has lost the very slightest of performance where it feels like it has lost some of the "cripness" to it but pulls well and strong.
J5KE F 0
I though cruise control was standard, we had in ours!It should.be plug and play.?

bungy 2
So I've been trying to make sense and research my plans for my 4mo and get it clear in my head what i'm trying to achieve. With a lot of prep work done my first priority is the charger fitment but my list is always growing.Buy and fit a Bosch 044 fuel pump* Source 2 1/2" 316 stainless pipe and bends for charger install* Replace rear screen bung with glass plug* De-badge front grill* Move battery to boot* Continue to reduce underbonnet clutter* Paint my spare cam cover and fit* Paint my inlet manifold* Order a seal kit for my air-con* Order and fit cruise control* Start to detail under bonnet componentsLoads of things to research and do and all will be done slow time as and when time/money allows
