Irishmanb4vr6 0 Posted December 16, 2010 Report Share Posted December 16, 2010 hope i'm posting this in the correct thread, someone please let me know if i'm not. i've got quite an annoying problem with my B4 passat (or mk3, mostly the same), when it gets cold outside, as it is now, the door latch (not lock!) freezes in the "open" position (as in, when you pull the handle), and it is then impossible to close. this results in a combination of furiously slamming the door to no avail, fervent swearing, and in some cases where it won't unstick, you must drive while holding the door shut. not exactly comfortable. Also, just to clarify, the locks work fine, and i have not (yet!) had any issue with opening the doors. only closing them.Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this, and if you have, if you happen to know of a solution to this problem.
