Ian_rogers 0
My factory alarm/immob was disconnected as it went on the fritz, had a new one fitted (toad) and premium went down £200ish
VR6-DUB 3
Now Ian that sounds quiet good, what toad alarm was it and was it cat 1?
Apollo 0
You will save a MAX of 10% with a Cat 1 alarm. My insurance is £550 a year and a cat 1 alarm is aorund £300....not worth me forking out for one would take 6 years to reap any benefit. As for the factory one passing any insurance requirements it all depends on if the alarm still holds its Thatcham status. Some older Alarms no longer do.
VR6-DUB 3
Apollo what you saying sounds like sense, best thing 4 me to do is 2 ring my insurance company and see what premium differences i am likely to get etc.No point buying and installing just say £300 alarm system and you end up saving next to nothing.Nice
editionmatt 1
insurance are wierd, its more expennsive to have better safer brakes and also if you have no back seats, i no its generally because u wanna go quicker but thats 3 less people that could make a claim against you if you were to have a prang.
