battery wire through bulk head

as title. is there an easy way of getting the battery cable (to amp) through the bulk head?

theres a place just behind the expansion tank, had some of the dash off but for the life of me couldnt get it through the other side. there seems to be all maner of guff under the dash preventing me from getting the wire through.

any ideas

i Know What you mean I pulled a little Grommet out under Expantion Tank got screwdriver Carefully poked through the insulation Fed the wire through.Then pulled it through from inside bit of wigglin job done That was with 0 Guage too.. Hope this heps

ok, so the hole behind the expansion tank comes out at the insulation? il have a go later.

Yea If we picked the same grommet lol Well Mine did it's rather thick stuff that insulation iirc

if you are careful you can just push a rod or something like a bbq skewer through it, to the side of the loom already there, and then gaffer tape the cable to the skewer and pull it back through, much less hassle than removing and refitting that grommet and the hole basically self seals round the cable as the hole is just a tiny poke hole from the skewer. Thats how ive always done mine.

did pretty much same thing i used some strong wire went through the grommet with the cable for amp attached to it then had a good feel under glove compartment and there it was :-)
