Well it takes all sorts I suppose. I have pulled tons of people out in the truck as some vehicles just don't cope to well in this weather and if I have to ability to help I will. Also its not a case of being a "goodie two shoes" as said before, I would just like to think that if My Wife and 3 stunning daughters ever got stuck when I was unavailable then some decent bloke may help.

Still' date=' her ins company has to pay out.

Most people have no idea how to use lpg pumps and nowadays it is more common to be ripped into by the people you try to help.

With all due respect Helen, you should have asked the attendant. As I say, most people in that forecourt aside from the other lpg user, they probably hadn't a clue.

I speak like this though because on several occasions I've offered assistance or help, I've been yelled at like I was being condesending and I obviously thought they were incapable.

When I've pointed out they just looked as they were struggling, they said "well I didn't ask for help, did I ?!!!". That then making me out to be a ad guy and making ME feel like a tit.

I couldn't leave the pump mate it was stuck on the car pissing gas out I had to keep my hand on to keep the gas in!

I always offer help, people with buggys and seats on the tube I'd rather do that and risk someone giving me the cold shoulder, sod those miserable people let them get on with it and be happy and helpful!!

Trouble is tho H, I get verbally aggressive nowadays when I'm ignored for a small thing like opening the door and not getting thanked. Some people can let it slide. I can't.

I was brought up with manors, pleasant behaviour and always to act like a gentleman. After 20 or so years of being ignored and spoken to aggressivley for doing the gentlemanly thing, I can't be bothered.

I didn't just open the door to be ignored as the people just walk through without saying thankyou.

Gripes?

people that walk toward me and I move over. I could carry on in a strait line and knock all ignorent morons onto their backsides. Still no thanks.

There are too many to list. You could say I'm pathetic but I feel too ground down from society to care about others sometimes.

Im from the same school as you, i have manners and respect and know how to use them, the general populus obviously do not, and it takes aggression to get through to these pr!cks. I was in pets at home today picking up some food for my bengal kittens and im in the aisle looking at all the foods deciding what to buy, the aisle was narrow but i was the only one in it, a stupid woman comes up behind me and wedges her trolley between me and the shelves and pushes me out of the way with the trolley, i turn around and, annoyed by this obviously, say in an obviously angered tone, "what does it take to just say excuse me and i would get out of the way? instead of shove me with your trolley?" her response, "what a rude man!"

people generally dont deserve the manners and repsect
