DundeeDub 0
is that the price for the kit installed or the price for the instalation of the kit.from the look of the price i would say it was for the instalation of the kit but you'll need to buy the kit seperatly
VRmonster 1
that is the price for the install, i spoke the these guys when picking a turbo. they basically use the HGP designed parts for their turbo systems but get them made in the us cheaper. the kit seemed a little pricey to me for what you get. also it doesnt fit rhd all too well either. binliner 0
also it doesnt fit rhd all too well either.so ideally you need a lhd car, preferably with 4wd to help put the power down

antera309 3
AFAIK, the only problem with fitting the US Turbo kits to RHD cars is the manifold/turbo fouling the Brake Master Cylinder & servo. There MUST be a way around this problem, possibly by using brake parts from other VAG cars. Whoever figures this one out will be very popular in the VR6 community...If I had a LHD syncro, a US turbo kit would be a forgone conclusion if the transmission was capable of taking the extra torque...It looks like the $2,800 is just the fitting cost though, the price of the parts is not quoted.[ Edited Tue Feb 01 2005, 08:12PM ]

Macca 1
Ive heard people say its a fair old hassle to fit US turbo kits to LHD cars, they said its about 2grand of parts/labour to get it to fit.If i had a RHD car, especially if its 4WD, then ditto: US turbo = forgone conclusion!!O and presuming i had some spare cash!
