HighlineSam 0 Posted January 5, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 it is the handbrake light but it goes on and off so i didnt think it was the switch can be fine for a couple days then come on halfway through jorney i was thinking vagcom to find out if its a sensor or summat Link to post Share on other sites
richierich37 236 Posted January 5, 2011 Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 when my handbrake light was on, i used a snap on modus diagnostics machine.................both front abs sensors were picked up on the machine so replaced them then reset the fault code and hey presto fault light stayed out! VR6-DUB 3 Posted January 5, 2011 Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 No i didnt mate, but i am looking into it this week going to change x4 abs sensors first, vag com it and take it from there. I dont thing it is my handbrake switch because wen i start my car in the morning it is fine, push handbrake down light goes out, as soon as i get to my first speed bump, go over it and handbrake light goes on.
