VR6Pete 1,455
Might be worth just attaching direct to a 12v supply see if it actually works! If it doesn't, buy a new one its there for a reason
Ian_rogers 0
I don't think mines ever worked... I never hear any noise once I've switched the engine off, any way of known for sure if it's workin?

Check the fuse also in your fan control module unit. Mine had blown.

luke832 0
Okay so i plugged it in and its making a sort of ticking noise while the engine is running and when the engine is off. I noticed it when the engine was off obviously and traced it right to the aux pump. Is it supposed to make this noise ? cheers
DanH 1
no mine doesn't tick.....but i stand corrected on that actually u NEED it.....I've not used an aux pump for 2 years now. Mine's a daily and I've not noticed any issues :-)I can see why VW fit them but it's such a crap' date=' ineffective little pump it's barely worth it. I did consider using a much bigger pump, but VW needed to consider battery life if it runs on for 5 mins after shutdown, but us modders don't generally care about things like that :-)[/quote']and kev KNOWS
