Macca 1
Im a bit bored and wondering how i should spend my money on my car. What do you think it takes to make a REALLY nice Mk3? Post some pics of the sweetest mk3s youve seen to give me inspiration
mina 0
I vote for Six Appeal's car - I think it's sex on four wheels
six appeal 53
Cheers Mina , cheques in the post! Will be much better once I've got it ready for Inters! My personal favourite is the black one that 1990 posted up all smoothed with a Vento front end on! Running wide 16" Keskins I believe.....Or a black one I saw in VW scene a few years ago runing my rims with lots of subtle smoothing, and full cream leather electric recaro's Edited to add pics.[ Edited Mon Mar 01 2004, 10:29PM ]
VR6Steve 0
Smooth not lairy. Subtle with style. For me, the key factor to make or break a car is the wheels. Get that wrong and it does not matter how good the rest of it is the impact will be lost.My other half has a subsciption to VW Scene and month after month quality Mk3's appear, so I can't really put my finger on just one. However Mangolds car did look rather good at the RR day.
antera309 3
Yes, the black one above with the Vento front-end gets my vote. Is it a U.S. Car?They should go the whole way, fit air suspension and drop it another inch. Otherwise, perfect.[ Edited Mon Mar 01 2004, 11:41PM ]
binliner 0
I agree on that as well... I remember my jaw dropping when 1990 posted that pic... another favourite is Alan Headens (PVW 9/03) it was on the R&A design stand at inters which is also black with a vento front and Im not usually keen on vento front ends but theyre both smooth, subtle & phat... knowing when to stop is the important thing! Macca 1
Six appeals is very nice, but i think the black vento fronted one is going to take some beating. another candidate is the red US car, also with vento front end in PVW a few months back.
1990 1
I like the silver vr in pvw's mk3 madness issue, low on nice split rims.I believe a lad up north has a nice green 5 door with polished porsche wheels on that looks quite good
acf8181 0
the black one is nice, so's six appeals...but the nicest i've seen in the metal is that silver one from cgti (with anni mkIV h/lamps...can't remember who owns it tho, think he's a mod)

mike79 0
I liked my old 16v - very fresh & simple!I like the look of the Mk3 as standard - all it needs is wheels & lowered suspension!

Now he is an enthusiast, when I went to his house, he was telling me about the amount of times he has had different facelifts on his VR6. The engine was a piece of art with the Schrick! 8o) [ golfvr6011evensmaller.jpg ][ Edited Tue Mar 02 2004, 01:00PM ]
mike79 0
my VR6 is as it rolled out of the factory... I want 17's on it again and lowered.... maybe some fat 16's instead of the 17's though.....
