tjsmudger 2
As title states, you know the ones, those who have chopped a golf in half and made a trailer. I wouldn't mind one as I have just sold my camping trailer and thought this would be a bit of fun.

tjsmudger 2
Yeah, they are exactly what I want but in mk3 Golf form. I like them, I think they are quirky and a bit different to my old indespension one. I want one the same colour as mine. Cheers Calico much appreciated.

tjsmudger 2
Cheers for the pics, I just googled golf trailers, most of them are without engine bay. Is there a problem with cutting bang on down the middle. i.e leaving the rear bench and boot. Is it a chassis problem? Oh I like the barbecue one...a lot.

VR6Nat 9
if you wanna cut it in half i think you need a 5 door as they are stronger in the middle.

VR6Nat 9
i love how its got the same lights & wheels and he's even matched the side repeaters and put an ariel on... its the attention to detail that makes it look awesome!
tjsmudger 2
That is just brilliant. I do a lot of camping (not the man love variety) and I want something different to tour the country with this year, or for defo next year!!

bungy 2
There are a lot of cheaper mk3's kicking around and by the time the engine, gearbox and other mechanicals are salvaged. The interior removed you are left with a trailer project. As Nat said better to have a more door for the extra strength. Could even have it as a micro van with a bed in. CALICO 130
if you wanna cut it in half i think you need a 5 door as they are stronger in the middle. i think a 3 door would look better but a 5 door would be more practical for putting stuff in it
