chief ka kar 0
I cant get a temp reading on my dash . I have change the thremostat i have replace the blue 2 pin sensor and the 4 pin yellow sensor. Which they gave me a brown one but i told them thats for air con models but he asured me it was the right one. Fitted the new sensor and my fans kicked in all the time. Took it back and he said you will have to go to vw. I rang them up they said we are not listing a 4 pin yellow part no 7019193698. So i now have a black 4 pin with a blue band around it and yes this one does'nt work.Does any one know which part no i need to replace the yellow 4 pin sensor. Thanks

makster28 0
went into europarts today for the brown sensor which belongs in the thermo housing and the guy said its nothing to do with your aircon its called a thermo cooling senso,is he correct or is it for the air con like everyone says on here?
chief ka kar 0
It may be called that but it is linked to the aircon. I dont have aircon so therefore i have no brown sensor.
richievr 1
i don't know why they are struggling for you..the 4-pin sensor does the dash temp and aux water pump. part no 701 919 369 D SHOULD have sorted it for you, unless you have further issues somewhere. the replacement switches are no longer yellow, it should be black with a blue band.and you are quite correct - the brown one is air-con only.. makster28 0
finaly got my fans working,it turned out to be 2 of the wires on the brown sensor clip were touching vag spotted the problem also changed the sensor, the fans kick in and turn on & off fine now but i am pretty certain its the stage 3 kicking in,and the temp is reading half way 90, does anyone know of some more checks i can do i changed the fan module and i am asuming it works or is stage 3 nothing to do with it?
