Guest LucyLu
this is a pain in the butt. remove all upper sections of the dashboard, screws are hidden behind the heater vents headlight switch, abs light and the blank for the heated seats. all them things clip out,its easier if you remove the stereo. When u have everything out the instruments are held in with two screws and the wiring plug. When they are out the instruments are in two parts, unclip them carefully and check the two long tracks that come from the electronic circuit board, for some reason my car was missing a screw in that tracks and the circuit wasnt makin full contact. fit new bulbs too. its a bit long winded but i hope it helps cos that fault on my car got on my nerves after 3 days. Bullwinkle668 0
Actually much easier than I thought: Just had to pop the headlight switch out. Then pop out a blank on the side opposite to the headlight switch. This revealed a screw behind each. Removed the screws and the surround around the gauges was popped out. Now the gauges are sitting bear in the dash and there are two screws holding it in. Removed the screws and the gauges can be tilted forward for replacing the globes or the gauges can be removed completely by unplugging the wiring. In total - popped out two dash components and removed four screws. Easy!
VRmonster 1
be careful when putting the cluster back in, as it actually clicks into place before the scres will go back in, i had trouble getting mine in, just make sure you push it in as far as it will go. but yeah, i found removing the whol dash fairly easy, it was getting it all back in that was the nightmare. ha ha.
