HAMMER_VR6 0
As above i have a set of bbs rx2 wheels in 17x7.5 et 35 fitment. The centres are in fairly tidy condition but the rims are starting to suffer the dreaded laquer peel, also there is a small bend in one rim from a pot hole.I want to refurb these wheel, how can i get rid of the dent and if i polish the rim how can i seal them to protect from english weather? VeedubVR 0
use poorboys wheel sealant. apply it in thin layers like a wax, let it cure and qipte it off with a microfibre and continue this a few times to build up a few coats.
HAMMER_VR6 0
ok, is that a permanent product or would you need to re polish and apply regularly? As for the dent do you think i could straighten it with a rubber mallet? dont want to crack the alloy
VeedubVR 0
nah its not permanent but it does last a while. Depends how often you wash the wheels aswel. But it prevents brake dust sticking to the wheels and makes it easier to wash it off.I wouldnt recommend it if the wheels are a matt of atin finish though....Got a pic of the dent in the wheel(s)? Ben Seabrook 4
for the dent i would speak to a professional as its not as simple as just hitting it with a rubber mallet ! for wheel care use the Chemical Guys wheel guard http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/product_p/whegrd.htm really really good product and works wonders
