Ferrari VR6 0
Will R32 alloys fit a VR6 golf?If possible, what would i have to do suspension wise, arches, etc...?Thanks guys...
badboyV6 4
to fit 18" rims your going to have to have the arches rolled and possibly pulled if you want a decent drop too as otherwise itll look like a 4x4. Ive got 17" rims on mine and a decent drop and have managed it by just getting the arches rolled. Funnily enough i was asking this same question the other night as i was also thinking R32 rims- but they are so expensive!!!
dubloke 4
18's will fit if you're prepared to do a lot of work on the inner/outer arches/wings. they have been seen on a few cars in the last couple of years, but i would think the ride would not be the best, or the handling for that matter. i'm sure someone will disagree with me here, but i found my 17's with a 60mm drop to be a little berift in the handling compared to my old 16's. they look good, but looks aren't always the best policy if you want the car to handle! you takes ya choice............... badboyV6 4
ive got 17's and my steering is a bit woolly - mind you only just noticed that my camber is all to f*ck!!!
dubloke 4
you'll need to get that sorted then or it will ruin your front tyres! if you find anywhere near to you let me know as i'm in need of some re-alignment too and you're not that far away from me really! Pittuf 0
I'd be suprised if you find it cheaper matey....thats a pretty good price for full alignment......make sure its for camber as well tho :-)
dubloke 4
if its camber as well i'm interested as its camber rather than tracking thats out on mine. if you can get me the number or check if its camber adjustment too that would be very helpfull! vw charged me £90 last time! badboyV6 4
Yeah i made sure it was camber - mine is really bad- you can actualy see its out! They didnt seem worried about the lack of space under the arches either.... tel no is 01452 505588
badboyV6 4
Just seen this thread floating about- i ended up getting the 4 wheel allignment done at protyre in Gloucester £42 all in :-) It wasnt perfect 1st time i got it done so they took it back and got it spot on for me :-) Apart from the 2 trips (luckily i only work 2 minutes from them), a job welll done.
