tomjonesrs2 0
Help? My 1996 Highline Golf VR6 has started to open its windows at random occasions such as during the night. So far I have had the alarm/immobiliser disconnected thinking that it was due to malfunction of this but it is still doing it? I was also told that it may be the control module that does the central locking situated in the boot but having looked at this I am not convinced as it and all electrical contacts around it look in good condition. Please help has any one suffered the same problem? legvw 0
Check the wiring in the rubber boot between the door and the body.
stewvr6 0
Yep i agree with Parky, with my drivers door open the window would go up but with the door closed it wouldn't. it ended up being the earth wire in the rubber boot was breaking and making contact dependant on what position the door was in. You will need to check both doors as my passenger side window would come down just because of the fault with the drivers door.
