Antihero1981 8
Hi guys , tempted by the 312 upgrade keeping the original calipers and just upgrading the discs ect , if i use the tt discs and put the spacer plate in , will it effect the offset of the wheels? as at the moment my caliper is about 2mm away from the wheel with standard brakes ,if i put the spacer plate in , will it effect how close the caliper from the wheel is?might be a stupid question but i dont want to do it then cant run my wheelsthanksryan
craggsy 91
No it only effects where carrier sits doesn't effect the hub at all.You do gave 288s tho don't ya
Lukey. 381
the 312 disc actually sits 6mm further into the car than the standard 288, thats why you need 6mm spacers between the hub and 312 size carrier, so offset clearance wouldnt be an issue anyway, but inner wheel diamater clearance would be reduced with the calliper sitting that much further out to go over the bigger discs.if your stock discs are 288 then you only need the 312 carrier and discs, new pads arent essential as they are the same size but always advisable when replacing discsif theyre 280 you need either 288 or 312 callipers, hoses and pads too
