Dave_ciw 507
I removed these from a mk6 Golf today and was so impressed. I though we had a nice clean set of reims until I couldn't get the plastic nut covers off. I am that impressed I had to show you.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330535335455&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_629wt_905

donjon 0
Ford have been doing it for years mate. We call it a "stylised steel" wheel! Not alot of point in it really as by the time you have bought the wheel and the trim it costs about the same as an alloy!
Dave_ciw 507
I have never seen them but I think the point is if you curb it mate its a lot cheaper to replace a trim than another alloy.
DanH 1
i like them! without the trims tho....and banded!
VeedubGeezer 0
Vauxhall actually adopted it earlier than Ford and made a very good job of it. They call them "structure" wheels. To the untrained (read as non-geek) eye you'd never know until you had to remove one. Even the dismantlers at work have questioned me selling a single alloy from a good set until they're told it's a steel!
VeedubGeezer 0
This is Vauxhall's use of it. Quite convincing to Joe Public I think...
