Electric window wont go all the way up??? any ideas?

Hi everyone,

I have a 98 R VR6 and the drivers side window functions up and down as normal but the window will not close fully, stays open about half an inch, if i press the button to go any further the safety feature kicks in and sends it halfway down, any ideas folks?

I'm not sure, but Katies vr does this, its bloody annoying. It goes up then just shoots back down before its reached the top.

Hi there,

I had this problem with mine too after i had mine in the get the windows blacked. Mine's also got an old full closure alarm system on it and the sunroof stopped closing when i locked the car too.

It turns out that the place that did them left both the doors and windows open and managed to kill what was alright quite an old battery, anywho, after i replaced the battery the porblems went away.
