darrenmarshall 0
Hi who can help?when i first put my foot down to accelerate i get one loud knock. This happens more at the lower gears. If i am gentle it does not happen.I thought at first that this is most likely to be an engine mount but someone has since told me that it could be a problem with the transmission/drive train.I have a 1993 corrado vr6 2.9Many thanksDarren
Nex 17
might be your drive shaft mate
Madrocker 0
Most likely the front engine mount mate, its a relatively easy job. if it was your drive shafts then it would only really do it when accelerating while turning.I test this by getting a friend to sit in the car with the hand brake on and lift the clutch to stress the mounts and see how much they move, like this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoDfmowLnesThe guy in this vid was a bit vicious with the clutch though lol.
